Recently this housewife was invited to Peppermill Restaurant in Al Wadha Mall. It is Indian cuisine at its finest. If you are not a big fan of Indian food, you will be after visiting this restaurant.
Upon entering the restaurant your eyes are greeted with the bright colors of the luxurious décor. Splashes of bright teal, purple and magenta fill the bright sunlit room. There are lavish chandeliers, intricate woodwork, and Imperial art that create an ambiance that is both stately and chic.
The food itself is majestic. It is a delicious array of various dishes that are meticulously prepared with care and attention to detail. The menu has been designed to suit every taste bud. Whilst Indian food is known for its spiciness, this food is created such that the spices are blended perfectly with the dish. The drinks on offer will also compliment the food that you are eating.
From start to finish, this meal is sure to delight you. Whilst it is hard to pick favorites from the menu, you must try the Adraki Tomato Shorba to start, it is ginger spiced tomato soup; Tandoori Malai Prawn, combination of prawns, cheddar cheese and yoghurt spiced with ground ginger, garlic, and cardamom; and Shahi Tukda, toasted brioche caramelized and served with pistachio ice cream drizzled with saffron sauce and topped with biscotti.
The atmosphere, professional staff, and lavish décor feels like you are dining in an extravagant 5 star hotel rather than a shopping mall. This is, no doubt, the best Indian food I have ever had. Whatever the occasion, whether it is meeting up with friends for lunch, a dinner date with hubby or you have the entire family – you must try Peppermill Restaurant. It is located in the Al Wadha Mall new extension next to Russo’s Pizzeria. For a more romantic date night – make at reservation at the Peppermill Restaurant in Eastern Mangroves.
