Best play dough ever ingredients

Recently one our of Real Housewives of Abu Dhabi shared a link for Kids Activities Blog on our Facebook page of how to make Playdough. For 3 years now I have manage to avoid Playdough and Playdoh products altogether because I remember the mess I used to make with it when I was little.  However, this avoidance was bound to come to an end since my son has become obsessed with play dough. Surprisingly he can sit for about an hour just playing with it.  Now this may not be a big deal for some, but for those that know my energetic little boy, this is nothing short of a miracle.  I knew I had to do something.

I had a look at the activity.  It calls for only 2 ingredients.  TWO! Cornstarch and Conditioner.  Even I can not mess that up, right? I thought I’d give it a go.  I went out to purchase the ingredients. Now if you are in the UAE, you will find Corn Starch listed as Corn Flour.  I used Fosters Corn Flour and it works fine.  I just purchased the cheapest conditioner.   We also picked up some plastic jars for storage and food coloring.  I was able to pick up everything from CarreFour.

Well it was a success. I have to say it was the easiest project we have ever done.  It did not take long to complete, the mess was minimal, and  it smells great because of the conditioner.   This was a great project for us to do together. It is an activity that can make non crafty people, like me, feel like I have done something cool with my kid.  To try making this yourself, check out the Kids Activities Blog.
